Halloween Theme
If you have some scary pictures and want to post it on our facebook page and web site, please do it with the mark "Halloween."

We are working on a new project: Painting a Book of Edmonton
Project Finished

Style: We agreed that the show would represent a book (one picture as "a cover page" that we will paint all together, then every artist will have his or her own "page" with 2Dartworks, texts, or films, and "conclusion" a picture in the end that we will paint all together.)
Theme: We need a theme of the "book". We agreed that it will be connected with Edmonton, our impressions about it, imaginations, and something that brings all of us together. If you have an idea about a catchy name of phrase that describes all of it and might be a good theme for the show, please let me know.

Also let me know as soon as possible if you want to take part in the show.

Venue: Art Habitat's Arthab-one
-2 long hallways
-The space is a little bigger than Harcourt or the same.
-Hang the show for a month.
-Doesn't need to be approved by anyone.

A CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

A Multicultural Artists’ group is excited to invite its members to participate in our art show and sale “Painting a Book of Edmonton.”

Taking place approximately Jan 15-Feb 15, 2014, in the gallery of Art Habitat, this multimedia exhibition will offer you the chance to introduce yourself to the larger art community, and showcase your work.

All artworks have to be connected with the topic of the show (Edmonton, your life at the city, people in Edmonton, your impressions about the city, what you like and what you do not like there and much more). The artworks might or might not be created on the base of the written texts, the list of which will be sent around a bit later.

If you wish to participate, please submit the following to me by January 1st, 2014. Don’t forget to include what you would like to have as your entry for the show’s online brochure (see below).

Two Dimensional Artists

- At least one (1) image (JPG format) of the artwork you wish to show. Space restrains limit us to no more than three (3) pieces per artist.

- For each submission, please include a document (RTF or DOC format) which includes the title of each piece, its size, media, and the price – if any.

Musicians

We are planning a live stage during the exhibition’s opening reception. If you wish to participate, please send us;

- An MP3 of you performing and the pieces you wish to share

- Any special needs that you might have as far as equipment. We presume you will be supplying the instruments.

Online brochure (for all participants)

For the show’s brochure please include the following (RTF or DOC format);

- A short autobiography or statement about yourself.

- You may include a photo of yourself. Optionally you may have just a photo of your artwork.

- Any contact information you wish to provide

- The addresses for your personal web sites or on-line galleries.

Space is limited and submissions will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please send your submissions no later than January 1st, 2014. Also, feel free to contact us if you have and questions or concerns.
